Abstract
Light resistance and creep characteristics are experimentally investigated for the 1000N/cm tensile strength class coated fabric materials. For light resistance layer, an aluminum vapor deposit polyester thin film was used. Even 800 A thick aluminum coating was effective to keep its strength under several months sunlight condition. Creep strength of the overlap joint with 4cm width was tested under the temperature of 20℃, 55℃, and 70℃. The test results show that creep strength should be considered seriously in future large light weight aerospace membrane structures.
