Abstract
This paper presents optimal method to solve optimal control problems with application to space vehicle proximity operations. The rendezvous and docking problem, using impulsive control, and avoidance of known obstacles is solved. A search based approach is applied to solve the rendezvous and docking problem with avoidance of known obstacles like solar panels of target satellite. The optimal control solution is found through hybrid Trajectory Planning and Fuel Cost optimization techniques.
