Abstract
This paper describes the development of civil aircraft maintenance inspection. Aircraft maintenance inspection has been changing along with the development of aircraft design and maintenance method. Latest aircraft design is called the damage tolerant design, which require more severe usage of maintenance inspection. The maintenance inspection has become more and more important to support aircraft integrity and safety. This paper explains the history of maintenance inspection and describes the latest maintenance inspection method and its effective application.
