Abstract
This paper proposes a detective method of bolt loosening by laser excitation vibration measurement. Impulse force can be applied to a structure by laser ablation. By this ideal impulse force, measurement of frequency response in wide frequency range can be accomplished. This detective method is constructed by measurement of the frequency response in high frequency because frequency response varies depending on the bolt loosening. Degree of damage and damage location are evaluated by RT-method. Furthermore, finite-element analysis is conducted to compare the simulation results with the experimental results.
