Abstract

In the field of a double leg circle on a pommel horse, there are various ways of performance. From the stand point of history, the performance changed from hip bending type to hip straighten type according with the improvement in technique. However still most of the gymnasts cannot perform hip straightening way. On the other hand, in order to evaluate circle performance, we have proposed an evaluation method in which the relation of toe rotation and hip rotation can be clearly understood. By using motion capture system experiments were already executed, and their performance data of plural gymnasts who performs in various ways were analyzed. In this analysis, we focused on the trained gymnast who performs hip rotation effectively. We call this type as Rolling type circle. In this paper, we explained this evaluation method precisely. And using this method and other data analysis, we examined rolling type circle precisely in focusing body rotation around his longitudinal body. By these analysis, the feature of this rolling type circle is evaluated.
