Abstract
Numerical analysis of viscous compressible flow in an orifice pulse-tube refrigerator was performed to investigate the effect of the thickness of a pulse tube wall on refrigeration in a orifice pulse-tube refrigerator. Transient axisymmetric two-dimensional equations of continuity, momentum and energy were solved utilizing the TVD scheme. A physical model combining a pulse tube with a wall and a regenerator is used for numerical simulation. In this paper, we analyzed the change in wall temperature, wall temperature profiles and heat flowing in the wall for various thickness of the wall.
