Abstract
The thermoacoustic refrigerator is expected to have high reliability for a long time in the operation because it has not movable section. The heat exchange phenomenon with the sound wave and the stack wall is used for the cooling mechanism of the thermoacoustic refrigerator. Therefore grasping of the cooling characteristics by the heat exchange phenomenon of the sound wave is indispensable to build of the thermoacoustic refrigerator. To make the thermoacoustic refrigerator develop more, numerical simulation which can be imitated to be cooling phenomena qualitatively and quantitatively is indispensable. In this paper, the soundstage was given to the inside of the pipe by using the speaker, and the cooling characteristics were examined experimentally. Furthermore, a numerical analysis by the analytic model was done, and experimental results were compared with numerical results.
