Abstract
Commuter train for Hong Kong KCRC were developed and manufactured as one of the worlds quietest train. This is achieved by the development series, such as 1) Noise measurement of the existing EMU, 2) Noise prediction 3) Comparison between the prediction results and criteria 4) Requesting noise criteria to sub-contractors 5) Making car body structure mock up and measurement transmission loss and structure borne noise in reverberant room 6) Manufacturing train and test it.
