Abstract
For the purpose of effectively compensating feeding voltage drops and reducing electricity consumption, we are developing a "Railway Static Power Conditioner for Sectioning Post (SP-RPC)". Firstly, to examine SP-RPC validity, we measured the actual train load. In addition, we simulated to compare equipment capacity. Secondly, we developed the control principle of SP-RPC. Thirdly, in order to use SP-RPC control for practical application, we developed a SP-RPC control program, manufactured the CPU boards, and conducted function confirmation tests using an actual machine panel. Finally, we carried out performance confirmation tests with a mini-model device.
