Abstract
To verify the accuracy of subjective risk and subjective estimation of environmental factors of possible overruns likely caused by train drivers, and to clarify the age difference that relevant to such a subjective risk, we conducted the survey on train drivers' subjective risk of overrun and environmental factors which they assumed. We compared them with the objective number of overrun and analyzed them by age-groups. The results revealed that drivers' subjective risk was a kind of accuracy, that drivers' subjective estimation of environmental factors of overrun was also accurate, and that younger underestimated the risk of overrun more than senior.
