Abstract
Each block of continuous railway RC (reinforced concrete) rigid frame viaducts vibrates at a different natural frequency when an earthquake occurs; therefore, it is not only a vibration displacement of each block but also a angular rotation occurring at the boundaries of structures, which causes a decrease in train-running quality. In this study, a relationship between the angular rotation and train-running quality during an earthquake is formulated based on a numerical analysis.
