Abstract
We conducted numerical simulations on heat transfer in nano-sturctured materials. Temperature profiles in nano-structured materials were obtained by solving 2 dimensional equations of phonon radiative transfer (EPRT) based on Boltzmann transport theory. Effective temperature distributions were obtained and, reductions of thermal conductivity of nano-structured materials were predicted.
