Abstract
This paper reports on the experimental study for a flat type axisymmetrical vapor heat spreader with a bronze porous sinter. The ethanol and pure water are applied for the working fluid, and the effect of the pore diameters are investigated under the various heat generation rates of a heater. The thermal resistances are improved with the increase of the pore diameter. The evaporated heat transfer rates are obtained by subtracting the conductive heat of the bottom plate of the heat spreader. The heat transfer characteristics are summarized with taking the pore diameters.
