Abstract
In this report, heat/mass transfer characteristics and optimal condition of mist cooling systems in the rarely low temperature region(under 373K) are investigated numerically. First, numerical results based on the suggested model for continuous drop condition are compared with experimental results and show good agreement with it. Next, the results of this study suggest a model function of evaporation time and show the ratio of mean evaporation mass flux in the life time of the mist to atomizing mass flux (evaporation flux ratio) is a very important value to decide optimal atomizing from the viewpoint of the overflow.
