Abstract
In this study, the generation method of propane hydrate from propane gas and water was examined using porous layer formed by glass beads . In the experiment, quantity of water and diameter of glass beads were varied as the experimental parameters. Moreover, water distribution in the porous layer was measured. As a result, hydrate was generated in the case of high water fraction at the top of the porous layer. On the other hand, in the case of low fraction of water at the top of the porous layer, the hydrate does not generate. Further, it was found the generation rate is independent of the size of the glass beads, and the generation speed increases with the diameter of the beads.
