Abstract
To investigate the influence of non-equilibrium argon plasma on cellulose pyrolysis, thermal cracking test of cellulose was carried out at relatively low temperature (300〜375℃). Tar and gas yields were measured and each composition was analyzed. As a result, it was observed that the amount of cellulose decomposed and the collected tar yield increase by adding the non-equilibrium argon plasma. There is little difference in tar composition between with and without non-equilibrium argon plasma. From the result, it is suggested that there is little influence of non-equilibrium argon plasma on the secondary degradation of tar.
