Abstract

In order to investigate the suppression mechanism of clinker (molten ash) formation due to the combustion of woody biomass solid fuel, efforts were made to efficiently produce small-diameter biocoke (high-density solid fuel) of the same size as wood pellets and mixed combustion them by a household stove, and the following findings were obtained. (1) It was found that the productivity of small-diameter bio-coke can be increased by 2.6 to 3.3 times that of the basic system by linking two semi-automated batch manufacturing systems. (2) Combustion comparison experiment with mixed combustion rate up to about 10% suggested that clinker formation was suppressed.
