Abstract
Plate impact experiment is conducted using a powder gun facility. Target-specimen is polycarbonate (PC) and is made of four disks which are laminated with three PVDF gauges by thin layers of adhesive. We have developed the unsteady-wave-sensing-system (UWSS) to evaluate the unsteady wave propagation characteristics of materials in the uniaxial strain state. Stress-strain curves for PC are determined by applying of the UWSS to the plate impact experiment under the loading-reloading condition. It is clarified that the Hugoniot stress-strain curve must be thought to be distinguished from characteristics including loading-history such as loading-reloading.
