Abstract
"Curving" is beautiful, although "straight running" is better for high speed run. In this paper I introduce the studies related to curving performance of railway vehicles which I was concerned. At first I explain the mechanism of curving of railway vehicles and actual performance of railway bogie. Then I introduce the development of bogie rolling test stand that can simulate curving condition. In the last part of this paper I describe the results of studies related to curving, for example, research on the formation mechanism of rail corrugation on curved track, development of new bogies with high curving performance.
