Abstract
Simulation platform for passengers' comfort evaluation at railway vehicles is built upon motion generator for automobiles' driving simulator, and its development concepts are described with partial construction results. Framework for realization of attractive railway services is discussed from viewpoint of affordance theory, and the necessity for study of human vibration sensation at railway vehicles using simulator with motion is affirmed. Requirements for the simulator's equipment are listed with its concrete construction procedure. Results of the hardware construction concerning seat positioning and visual shade on the ceiling, are reported with general plans for future experiments.
