Abstract
For speed up of Shinkansen, it is important to improve passenger comfort such as noise reduction inside the car. Our targets of internal noise are 65dB(A) on the open section, 70dB(A) in the tunnel section at 360km/h. To achieve these goals, we analyzed high speed test results, confirmed transmitting courses of internal noise, and found that noise from the floor and windows were dominant. In this paper, we report the methods to reduce the noise from windows.
