Abstract
The bogie testing facility installed at our laboratory was designed mainly to test the characteristics of bogies of urban rail transits. A great feature of this facility is that it can test the bogie under curving. By using this facility, we have studied the mechanism of corrugation formation, wheel-rail contact, active steering trucks, and so on. To strengthen the structure and to realize the bogie-angle between truck and vehicle, the facility was improved. This paper reports the improved functions of the facility.
