Abstract
Driver's eye sight differs significantly depending on the model of the passenger car. Meanwhile, from the viewpoint of preventive safety the most relevant layout of the information equipment while considering the eye height is necessary. Therefore, to contribute for the most relevant cockpit design in this research, we investigate the influence of the eye height on the perception and recognition while driving. To change the driver's eye height, we modified the mock view image of a driving simulator and measure driver's eyeballs movement. In this experiment, we analyze and study the influence of driver's eye height with an eye mark recorder while subjects keeping constant distance between own vehicle and precedent vehicle.
