Abstract
We applied thermography to measure the surface temperature of a brakerotor with highspeed revolution. The ThermoVision SC4000HS camera output 14-bit digital data at rates up to 50 Megapixels per second, yielding 420Hz of 320×256 imagery. As the result, temperature distribution is measured in the brake. The availability of this sensing method for the investigation of thermal phenomena in braking is discussed.
