Abstract
The number of serious car accidents which are caused by elderly car drivers has increased. Although the system of driving license voluntary return which has been enforced since 1998 in Japan would be a useful method to prevent them, to abandon driving cars decreases human life quality and vigor in the region where the car is one of essential transportation devices. As a part of studies on the development of the systems of automobiles which enables elderly people to drive safety, here we report the analysis result of their consciousness towards driving automobiles, license voluntary return, and transportation device after license return.
