Abstract
One of factors to affect the riding comfort of railway vehicle is vibrational acceleration. We developed a simulator which can reproduce railway vehicle floor acceleration. The simulator was devised by combining a universal shaking table with a translation table and an inclination table. The universal shaking table takes a part for higher-frequencies because the universal shaking table cannot produce sufficient amplitude in the region of lower-frequencies. The inclination table generates stationary acceleration by using gravitational acceleration. The translation table generates acceleration by moving in translational motion. By combining the inclination table and translation table, acceleration in the region of lower-frequencies is properly reproduced. A program which we developed can distribute the acceleration input into the inclination table and the translation table. We show how to reproduce floor acceleration of railway vehicle by using a simulator which we developed.
