Abstract
This paper deals with a safety of automatic platooning trucks in energy-saving ITS project. It needs to develop a platooning-specialized brake system for keeping safety of experimental development. A secondary braking system and an adjusting device of braking force have been developed. To develop a reliable braking system, investigations of loading structure's effect are required. Therefore, braking tests of a heavy-duty truck was carried out for safety evaluation of sudden braking situation under several loaded conditions. In this report, an overview of the braking test is introduced.
