Abstract
Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMVs) are sometimes used in pedestrian areas. It is important to discuss the safety and comfort of PMVs in pedestrian areas. In this paper, the interaction between PMV and pedestrians is investigated using the personal space. Especially the influence of the assist control of PMV on a pedestrian's PS is evaluated in the simulation. We simulated three conditions, "No assist", "Assist with avoidance control", "Assist with velocity and avoidance control". From the simulation results, it was found that there is best acceleration to decrease invasion ratio. When the width of road is narrow, it was shown that "Assist with velocity and avoidance control" effectively decrease "Invasion ratio".
