Abstract
Recently, Head Up Display (HUD) are widely noticed as in-vehicle HMI device. HUD is effective on shortening cognitive time by displaying information in front of the driver. However, Driver cannot receive a sense of distance in current HUD display. And, depending on HUD display method may induce driver distraction. The purpose of this study is to examine whether a driver receives a sense of distance by changing the focus distance of the HUD display. And, we examine whether the cognitive time of the driver shortens by displaying information after giving the driver awareness.
