Abstract
This paper describes the effect of vehicle motion when the passenger, clipped between the car-body and the platform, is rescued by the number of passengers. Filed test was carried with the collaboration of railway operator first. Numerical simulation with a half vehicle model was performed to study the effect of vehicle motion in rescuing. Results showed that the cyclic load applied at the car-body by the small number of passengers caused the dangerous situation instead.
