Abstract

Drivers who are driving vehicles, rely on visual sense as approximately 90% of necessary information, for example transforming of road environment or behavior of pedestrians etc. Therefore, good or bad of visibility performance cause a big effect for comfort or convenience concerned about driving vehicles. In this paper, authors introduce previous studies concerned with improving visual sense of heavy duty vehicles, the relationship between driving view area of heavy duty bus and driving comfort or the indirect visibility system (Periscope system) that improving visual sense of surrounding area of heavy duty trucks, etc.
