Abstract
Railway signalling facilities are widely introduced along railway lines for ensuring safe and stable operation of trains. Following that signalling facilities become highly functional and smaller sized, replacement of relay equipment with electronic equipment had been done a long time ago. On the other hand, it is often difficult to assess the deterioration tendency of electronic equipment, and proper setting of the replacement time of the introduced electronic equipment is a problem. In this paper, the authors conduct a survey of usage environments in order to extract and quantify stress factors on the wayside electronic equipment, and considered the method of lifetime evaluation. In addition, the authors showed an example of lifetime evaluation of the electronic equipment on railway track environment.
