Abstract
The digital train radio in rural railway lines is configured to connect the central unit and each base station with an optical cable. For this reason, it is necessary to newly lay optical cables in the optical cable unlaying section. As a method not using optical cables, a method of transmitting information using existing metal cables is conceivable, but development of a modem capable of transmitting information of train radio with low latency is necessary. We developed a low latency type metal modem which can be used for digital train radio in rural railway lines this time. By using this developed product properly, it is expected to reduce the installation cost of optical cable.
