Abstract

In the railroad industry, advanced rolling stock technology is being made to the ride-comfort-evaluation and improve safety. Maintenance methods for railway vehicles to improve safety are shifting from Time-Based Maintenance to Condition-Based Maintenance that needs constant monitoring. As a problem in the current technology development of rolling stocks, that it is difficult to test on real-vehicle, especially in failure conditions. In this study, a vehicle-running-test machine has been developed to acquire the various condition data, and the condition-monitoring for the constant state was investigated. Based on the vibration data of bogies obtained from the running test of the test vehicle, some failure conditions of the bogie have been detected.
