Abstract

Wheel Slide Protection Control (WSPC) equipped on railway vehicles plays a role of reducing the risk of increasing the braking distance by temporarily lowering the braking force when the wheels start to slip to restore the adhesive state again. In this paper, we introduce the Hybrid Simulator (HS) developed for WSPC bench experimental environment, and the function of HS to simulate the velocity measurement error of railway vehicle by mathematical model and installing various speed sensors.

In addition, we report the investigation result of the effect of speed measurement error to WSPC performance by using HS.
