Abstract

A stress-luminescent paint is applied to the joints of A5083 / GFRP joints joined under three different conditions, and a tensile test is performed. Then, the joining conditions were evaluated from the strength and the fracture mechanism. As a result, it is considered that Sample1 has high strength because the heat input is standard, the reaction layer for obtaining strength is formed, the fracture mechanism is complicated, and the strain energy required for fracture is high. From the above, it is considered that the conditions of Sample 1 are suitable for joining the FSJ of A5082 / GFRP within the range of the joining conditions examined this test.
