We discuss the influence of modeling of 3-D beams in a curved railway track on simulated deformation behavior of ballast layer. Since the rail has a thin part and has only one axis of symmetry in the cross-section, it is considered that the vibration response is affected by warpage. The track vibration analysis is carried out for evaluating the maximum value of the railpad force. The cyclic deformation of a ballast track is simulated using the elastoplastic FEM with the cyclic densification model. We investigate the effect of the warpage deformation on the simulation results.
