Abstract
Oscillating flow is a physical phenomenon that occurs in the heat transportation device. That is frequently observed at the heat exchanger of air conditioner and Stirling engine. The heat transfer characteristics in the oscillating flow is a correlative to the efficiency of heat transportation device. Therefore, it is important to understand the heat transfer characteristics in the oscillating flow. In this study, oscillating flow heated below is generated in a test section. The flow and temperature fields were observed by using a thermo-sensitive liquid-crystal suspension method. The purpose of this study is to clarify the effects of dominant parameter on flow pattern.
