Abstract
This paper describes a first step of a three-dimensional computational flow analysis for wind turbine. According to some empirical result, it is well known that flow field around wind turbine has complex three-dimensional effects. But three-dimensional flow analysis for wind turbine was hardly performed because of its difficulties. One of the purposes of this study is to analyze without using super computer. Then we put the wind turbine in the duct to ignore the effects the blade tip on calculation. To set the appropriate grid on space opening up to blade tip, space is divided into oversetting three parts. Some numerical results are shown.
