Abstract
This paper describes extraction of principal problems to control sound transmission through noise barrier: using piezoelectric ceramics bonded on both surfaces of barrier, used as sensors and actuators. Substantial reduction of soundradiation from a rectangular thin plate had been investigated. 2DOF adaptive control system was introduced in that work. The interest is that possibility of realization of the algorism to active control of the noise barrier. Two same serious problems as in the previous work will be arising. First one is that the small area of the piezoelectric ceramics compared with barrier. Second one is that the law damping of the barrier. Both of them are difficulty to apply the adaptive algorithm. 0n the basis of basic experiments, that are adaptive vibration control of a cantilever beam, we examined effectiveness of the adaptive system
