Abstract
This paper describes the effect of boundary location of tested component in component modal testing on test result. Frequency accuracy is used as an indicator to evaluate boundary location of the tested component. A numerical example shows that accurate frequencies of structures can be measured even if we use any tested components. Also it shows that boundary location has little effect on accurate frequency prediction through modal tests.
