Abstract
The development of a concentrator type solar cooker which is simple and easy to assemble is conducted. Its purpose is to help children to understand the characteristics of light and its energy. I can be also used to teach children about the poverty and shortage of fuels in developing countries. To impress the children deeply, it should be easy and enjoyable to construct but efficient enough to persuade children that it is a practical tool to cook foods without fuels. By enlarging the present design with different material such as stainless steel, it can be used as practical concentrator type solar cooker suitable for the production in developing countries. The efficiency of the concentrator of our pseudo parabolic shape is compared that of real parabola by using ray tracing software.
