Abstract
This report describes the aim and target of the technical section on Brunel's spirit for promoting innovative monodzukuri. At first, a summary of activities of the fore technical section on the history and engineering of Brunels (started on November 1, 2003 and ended on 31 October 2008) has been described. The activities of the technical section were practically achieved during six years. In 2006, the 200-year anniversary of Brunel's birth was well done. The atmospheric railway model was made with high school students. Brunel's wax mannequin was also made for promoting familiarization of young Brunel as well. In the new technical section, five subjects have been scoped: publicity, designing, carrying over, application, and PDCAs. These are aim to promote the monodzukuri spirit for Japanese young engineers and students through studying Brunel's works. The technical section have be re-run on 1^<st> April 2010 for five years by 31^<st> March 2015.
