Abstract

The Approved Program for Mathematics, Data science and AI Smart Higher Education: literacy level, which based on the Japanese government AI strategy 2019 was started from 2021 and most College of Technology was approved. Accordingly, Kobe City College of Technology refined the Fundamentals Information Technology subject for all department first grade student to including data handling by using the programming language Python. On the other hand, many students in department of mechanical engineering who wants to learn standard mechanical engineering may have little motivation to learn Python. The purpose of this study is developed teaching materials for model array manipulation in open source 3D CAD using Python and practice in class to increase Python learning motivation for students. In addition, if student have opportunity to do modeling array manipulation with 3D CAD, it could be approach to interest in Additive Manufacturing (AM) and mechanical meta-material.
