Abstract
This paper proposes the co-axis non-contact impedance sensor where it has the common axis for both force and displacement directions. The developed sensor is composed of a laser displacement sensor and air force supply nozzle. The basic characteristic of the sensor is precisely examined. We also discuss the impedance estimation of human skin by using the newly developed sensor. We evaluate the impedance parameter for four-element model. The experimental results show a nice coincidence between both experiment and estimation.
