Abstract
In the blood pressure measurement, there are generally two methods. One is the auscultatory method which is widely used as a standard blood pressure measurement method. The other is the automatic sphygmomanometer. It is known that there is discrepancy in the measuring results of both methods. In the automatic sphygmomanometer, the measuring blood pressure is determined on the basis of the pressure of changes in the air pressure in a cuff. However, the relation between the blood pressure and the cuff air pressure has not been clarified. In this research, single degree of freedom model was applied to analyzing for development of the mathematical model which simulates the relation between the blood and the cuff pressure. As a result of the research, parameters, which show the relation between the blood pressure and the cuff pressure in the model, were able to be calculated.
