Abstract
We developed the new concept walker (all-way mobile walker) and investigated the significance of its utility for the elderly. This walker has a small cell battery and 4 omni-wheels which are controlled by a computer. Accordingly the new concept walker (all-way mobile walker) can move unrestrinctedly under instruction of a computer. This walker can move latellary, posteriorly and obliquely. The improvement of muscle strength and balance function was shown after walking exercises by use of the all-way mobile walker. We expect this walker to contribute toward the fall prevention.
