Abstract
Estimation of person's joint moment is very important in the field of the medical treatment and sports. In order to calculate a person's joint moment using inverse dynamics, data of the mass and the center of gravity of each part of the human body are necessary. However, in the present state of affairs, general statistical data are used and it causes low precision of the estimation because the subject's data are not used. In this study, we develop a new method to identify the mass and center of gravity of each part of the subject. Multiple regression analysis is carried out using 3-dimentional coordinates of the parts of the subjects and the floor reaction force. To estimate the accuracy of the proposed method we carry out numerical simulation and demonstrate the calculation results of the simulation.
