Abstract
In this study, mechanical behaviors and strength of 3-D woven heat resistant composite with optical fiber for compressive load are experimentally investigated. The maximum fracture stresses for three types of specimen that have different optical fiber orientation are evaluated by static compression test. This report shows the effect of Z-directional yarn in 3-D composite on compressive strength by comparing with the results for 2-D composite specimen.
