Abstract
Malassezia fungus were now divided into 11 species. ten years ago this fungus are divided in only two species. This fungus are related to some skin diseases such as tinea versicolor, malassezia folliculitis, seborrheic dermatitis and atopic dermatitis. This fungus can detect by culture or non-culture method, but culture method dont reflect all species. Resent years some investigations are done by non-culture method. In this symposium I summarize the report about this fungus and the relation with skin disease.
